IntelliDOT® Corp. Announces the IntelliDOT Vital Signs Collection System™ (VSC) to Streamline Nurse Workflow at the Bedside

SAN DIEGO, CA, April 17, 2007 – IntelliDOT Corporation, an innovator in patient safety and workflow management solutions for healthcare, today announced the IntelliDOT Vital Signs Collection™ (VSC) System, to electronically capture and document patient vital signs at the point of care. The new product announcement was made at the AONE 40th Annual Meeting & Exposition in Washington D.C.

The IntelliDOT VSC System allows the caregiver to document a patient's vital signs information. The vital signs product is designed to compliment IntelliDOT's existing suite of patient safety solutions, allowing nurses to collect vital signs before, during or after the medication administration process. IntelliDOT VSC utilizes the same wireless handheld device and can populate the eMAR or electronic flow sheets and/or print on separate patient-specific flow sheets.

“IntelliDOT is dedicated to providing our customers with point of care technology solutions that are easy to use, streamline the heavy daily workload of nurses, and increase patient safety,” said Dave Swenson, R.Ph., Chief Operating Officer of IntelliDOT. “The CAREt VSC System allows nurses to work efficiently at the bedside while safely and accurately documenting patient vital signs information.“

IntelliDOT VSC joins IntelliDOT's suite of patient safety solutions, all designed to enhance the organization of workflow at the bedside. The IntelliDOT CAREt® System guides the nurse through all required tasks, automatically queuing critical tasks and displaying information for action in a straightforward manner. The CAREt System also eliminates a significant amount of time required for charting of patient records at the end of a shift, as the system captures information electronically during the course of the day.

About the IntelliDOT CAREt System
The IntelliDOT CAREt System is the first nurse-centered workflow manager to connect caregivers with the information systems they need at the point of care. Designed to complement the way nurses work, the handheld CAREt System is simple to use and provides nurses with a single, wireless tool for medication safety and documentation at the bedside.

The integrated hardware and software solution provided by IntelliDOT results in a cost-effective “smart hardware” system for hospitals looking for a customized design for caregivers at the bedside. By simply scanning a patient wristband, nurses are prompted by the CAREt handheld tool through all required medication administration and documentation tasks that have accumulated for a patient. Information is clear, organized and delivered right into the caregiver's hand, right when it's needed.
