Director, Inside Sales and Demand Generation

Do you have a passion for building new business? If so, IntelliDOT – a leading provider of wireless, handheld barcode point-of-care (BPOC) solutions to hospitals – is looking for a Director, Inside Sales and Demand Generation. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for designing and developing tactical marketing qualification programs that build a sustainable pipeline for the company's Field Sales group. The successful candidate will be passionate and energetic – one that thrives in a fast-paced work environment that is results/sales oriented. The position will report to the VP of Marketing.  The Director, Inside Sales will be an integral member of the sales and marketing teams participating fully in the sales strategy and development of strategic growth plans designed to further penetrate acute care hospitals in North America.

The barcode medication administration market is over US$1.3 billion in size and is growing rapidly. There is no clear market leader and only 10% of hospitals are currently using or installing a BPOC solution. IntelliDOT differentiates itself as a best-in-class specialist in BPOC solutions. BPOC is our core business, not just a part of it.


Responsibilities

  • Recruit, build and launch Inside Sales department from the ground level
  • Create and identify product and solution messaging customized to different constituents within an Acute Care hospital.
  • Plan and manage tactical marketing campaigns that to provide qualified leads for field sales.
  • Personally manage and implement outbound calling campaigns.
  • Manage calls-to-action and fulfillment of all outbound marketing programs to increase campaign effectiveness.
  • Act as an evangelist (with sales, prospects and customers).
  • Serve as “power user” of the company’s CRM system: Salesforce.com.

Requirements

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in or with an Inside Sales organization focused on providing high quality, qualified leads with at least 7 years background in a sales role within a technology company.
  • Proven track record of planning, executing, measuring, and refining effective outbound marketing programs that support demand generation goals of the sales and marketing organizations.
  • Proven track record of being able to reach c-level executives, generate interest and qualify buying potential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to speak/write to both business and technical audiences.
  • Strong business analytical skills.
  • A passion for building new business.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving environment, with high tolerance for change.
  • Superior strategic planning, organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experienced at managing and delivering on time against multiple priorities.
  • Independent self-starter with ability to build and grow a department and team.
  • Resilience, tenacity, and the ability to cope with rejection.
  • Creative, high-energy phone etiquette.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Location:  Corporate Based (San Diego, CA) or Home Office Based
Travel:       Limited travel (corporate events and training)
Hours:       Full-time
Salary:      Base + Bonus (combined 100K+ potential)
