Thomas G. Klopack
President and Chief Executive Officer

Thomas G. Klopack is the president and CEO of IntelliDOT Corporation. He is responsible for setting and carrying out the operational and strategic initiatives of the company. Under his leadership, IntelliDOT continues to break new ground in its key imperative of helping hospitals successfully enhance patient safety.
Mr. Klopack’s extensive background includes 35 years of experience in various strategic and operational roles with leading edge, rapid-growth technology companies, ranging from multinational suppliers to startups, in more than 20 industries. At IntelliDOT, he has drawn upon his expertise in applying strategic processes to meet management challenges at multiple stages of company growth.
Prior to joining IntelliDOT, Mr. Klopack held management positions in biotechnology as the COO of Aurora Biosciences in San Diego, and most recently as CEO of Aclara Biosciences in Mountain View, CA. In both companies he had a leadership role in driving the business from startup stage to a successful acquisition by a major industry leader. Previously, he spent nearly two decades in various roles at Raychem Corporation.
Mr. Klopack holds a B.Sc degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
Michael E. Donner
Vice President, Marketing
IntelliDOT Corporation
Michael E. Donner is vice president, Marketing for IntelliDOT Corporation. He is accountable for all marketing operations which include the planning, development, execution and management of the company’s corporate, market, brand and demand generation strategy.
Mr. Donner’s extensive background includes more than 17 years of experience in strategic planning and go-to-market strategy development; product marketing; government, employee, technical, financial and corporate communications; channel sales; strategic alliances; demand generation; and field and corporate marketing within the consulting, software, hardware and outsourcing industries.
Prior to joining IntelliDOT, he was vice president, global head, demand generation, for Capgemini, Paris, France where he introduced a demand generation practice to revitalize sales which resulted in pipeline growth of 2.5 Billion Euros. Prior to Capgemini, Mr. Donner was senior vice president, chief marketing officer at Eclipsys Corporation, Boca Raton, Florida where he built programs that enabled the company to attain profitability for the first time in 12 years and achieve 24 percent revenue growth. Earlier in his career, Mr. Donner was corporate vice president of Global Marketing and Communications for Telelogic AB, and held executive marketing roles at Solectron Corporation and Halliburton’s Landmark Graphics Division.
Mr. Donner holds a B.Sc degree with Distinction from Babson College School of Management.
Shawn M. Orr
Vice President, Field Operations
IntelliDOT Corporation
Shawn M. Orr is vice president, Field Operations for IntelliDOT Corporation. He is accountable for the company’s field operations, which include the planning and execution of system implementations. Under Mr. Orr’s leadership, IntelliDOT maintains its high standards of clinical and technical consulting, project management, and ongoing technical support and services.
As an operations management and customer service executive with over 20 years of experience, Mr. Orr brings proven expertise in strategic planning, project management, manufacturing, materials management, training, technical support, and delivering operational excellence to IntelliDOT.
Prior to joining IntelliDOT, Mr. Orr served as the senior vice president of Operations for EMN8 Enterprise Media Networks. In this role, he was responsible for providing product implementation and installation support services, creating site-specific policies and procedures, and ensuring customer training in all aspects of system operations. Previously, he spent more than 12 years in a variety of customer service, logistics and management roles, culminating in the position vice president of Operations for Pyxis Corporation, a Cardinal Health Company.
Mr. Orr attended the University of Maryland University College Business Management program and received an A.S. degree in Business Management from San Diego Mesa College.
Chad J. Putnam
Vice President, Finance
IntelliDOT Corporation
Chad J. Putnam is vice president, Finance for IntelliDOT Corporation. He is responsible for the company’s finance and accounting operations. Mr. Putnam’s leadership ensures the sound management of the company’s financial planning, reporting and analysis, cash management, accounting oversight, and the development and maintenance of the company’s internal control environment.
Mr. Putnam’s diverse background includes more than 12 years experience in working on initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and venture-backed equity transactions; financial modeling; SEC reporting; system implementations; audits of public and privately-held entities; and technical accounting issue resolution within the software, hardware, internet and public accounting industries.
Prior to joining IntelliDOT, Mr. Putnam was director of Accounting for Vivendi Universal Net USA where he centralized the accounting functions for the parent company and numerous media and internet-based subsidiaries, resulting in the migration of seven separate entities onto the same accounting platform. Prior to Vivendi Universal Net USA, Mr. Putnam was assistant controller at MP3.com where he developed the company’s accounting infrastructure as it grew from $1M to over $80M in annual revenues. He also played an integral role in the company’s $380M initial public offering. Earlier in his career, Mr. Putnam held various finance and accounting management positions at both I-BUS, Inc. and Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Putnam graduated with honors from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
William H. Roof, Ph.D.
Vice President, Engineering
IntelliDOT Corporation
Dr. William H. Roof is vice president, Engineering at IntelliDOT Corporation and leads the five groups within the Engineering Department. In this capacity, he is responsible for application software development, software quality assurance, product sustaining and interfacing engineering, hardware development engineering, product manufacturing and global intellectual property. Dr. Roof’s leadership is instrumental in driving the market-leading technical advances of IntelliDOT’s innovative CAREt® handheld wireless terminal.
Dr. Roof began his engineering and management career as a systems engineer developing the first hardened battlefield wireless terminal for the U.S. Marines. His expertise spans diverse fields, such as Doppler radar, glass cockpit integration, and decision support system development. He expanded the application of his knowledge to healthcare technology in the late 1990s.
Prior to joining IntelliDOT, Dr. Roof was vice president, Research and Development for Pyxis Life Sciences, a Cardinal Health company. In this role, he and his engineering staff developed software that successfully moved Cardinal’s hospital-oriented hardware platforms into the life sciences markets. Dr. Roof’s career also includes positions as chief technical officer at Ameranth Technology Systems where he developed the first patient safety mobile wireless application. In addition, as engineering program manager at Science Applications International Corporation, he worked on major hardware/software integration projects for the U.S. Government.
Dr. Roof holds a mechanical engineering degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, and a doctorate in software engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College and of numerous military intelligence schools. Dr. Roof also completed a 30 -year active and reserve military career where he specialized in counter-intelligence and security matters. He is a member of AEA and IEEE.
David D. Swenson, R. Ph.
Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer

David D. Swenson is co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer of IntelliDOT Corporation. Mr. Swenson was a primary architect of IntelliDOT’s product design and now is responsible for key components of the company’s overall direction, including product strategies, clinical direction and regulatory oversight. Mr. Swenson’s leadership and vision continue to drive the innovation that make the IntelliDOT CAREt System a unique, market-leading point-of-care solution.
An experienced hospital pharmacist, Mr. Swenson’s background includes more than 17 years of hospital pharmacy and hospital pharmacy management experience. He was one of the original staff members of Pyxis Corporation, joining the product team in the company’s infancy. As one of the first product managers for Pyxis, he was responsible for the product design of the Medstation-Rx System, the first pharmacy profile driven medication cabinet system.
Prior to co-founding IntelliDOT, Mr. Swenson was vice president, Marketing and Clinical Services for Woodside Biomedical, makers of the first and only non-invasive treatment for nausea and vomiting, which received FDA cleared indications for nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy, post-operative nausea, chemotherapy, and motion sickness. Prior to joining Woodside and following Pyxis’ purchase by Cardinal Heath, Mr. Swenson was promoted to vice president of Business Development. In this role, he was responsible for integration of Cardinal’s newly acquired pharmacy automation product portfolio.
Mr. Swenson holds a B.Sc degree in Pharmacy from University of Washington. He has also completed Master of Business classes at City University in Seattle.
Robert N. Williamsen
Vice President, Sales
IntelliDOT Corporation
Robert N. Williamsen is vice president, Sales at IntelliDOT Corporation. Under his leadership, IntelliDOT’s technical sales force continues to build strong working relationships with new and existing customers, while driving sales excellence using a “customer service” approach.
Mr. Williamsen has 18 years of leadership experience in early stage startup companies. He has led sales organizations in numerous industry niches, including food service, entertainment, Web-based services, and telecommunications.
Prior to joining IntelliDOT, he was senior vice president of Sales and Business Development for EMN8 Enterprise Media Networks, the leading developer and manufacturer of self-service automation technology for the food service and entertainment industries. Previously, Mr. Williamsen was vice president of Business Development for ServiceMagic.com, the leading website marketplace for home improvement projects. He spent eight years with Pyxis Corporation, where he was western area vice president of Sales and Operations. Mr. Williamsen was also involved with other startup technology companies, including Freedom Wireless Inc., the inventor and patent holder of pre-paid cellular technology.
Mr. Williamsen graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a B.Sc in Medical Technology. He also attended an executive leadership program at Boston University's School of Management.
