Grant Information
Why Grants?
Improving the quality of hospital care is a goal of many public and private organizations. In line with improving hospital quality is saving patient lives by reducing or eliminating medication errors during in-patient stay.
Hospitals that currently lack resources for direct implementation of health-IT related patient quality improvement systems can utilize available grant money from various organizations. The grants may be used to fund research studies regarding the implementation and evaluation of health-IT systems, like CPOE, BCMA, and nurse workflow improvement tools.
The size of grants varies by granting organization and type of research study. Smaller studies and private organizations tend to give less, while large-scale studies funded by government programs may result in grants of more than $1 million.
How to Obtain Grant Money
Interested hospitals must directly apply for available grants because the majority of available grants require applicants to be non-profit organizations. However, IntelliDOT will work closely with the interested parties in identifying available grants. If necessary, we will help with the grant writing and grant application process, and we will also use our technical expertise to implement the test system, help with study design, and the collection of data for the study itself.
